Yeji Kim

My scientific interests lie in understanding cellular development, particularly in relation to humans. During my Ph.D., I studied a rare genetic disorder using a stem cell model and profiled functional microRNAs in development. I joined the Leidel group as a postdoc and am currently working on identifying new small coding regions and characterizing the identified small proteins in neuronal development. To cope with the challenges of research and keep me motivated, I enjoy reading, writing, going to museums, and baking.
