I studied for my Master’s at Sun Yat-sen University in China before I joined the MPI-IMPRS Ph.D. program in Germany. I earned my Ph.D. degree in Leidel Group in 2022. My project is mainly focused on dissecting the effects of tRNA modifications on mRNA translation by digging into ribosome profiling data, and how the perturbed translation speed affects protein folding and further protein homeostasis. My favorite things to do in the lab are watering the plastic plant when I can’t find the bugs in my code and “annoying” my wet lab collaborator.
In my spare time, I like playing volleyball, meditating, and thinking about what to eat for dinner.
