Ahmed Elhelbawi

I studied pharmaceutical sciences for my bachelor’s degree in Egypt and worked as a pharmacist for a few years. However, my extreme passion for research has led me to do my master’s degree in Biomedicine at Lancaster University, UK. Afterward, I started my Ph.D. in the lab of Sebastian Leidel.
My Project is focused on how chemical modifications of mRNA tune gene expression, and how this influences different physiological processes.
In my spare time, I enjoy working out, reading, watching football, and playing chess.
