Madhusmita Mahapatra

I received an integrated BS-MS degree as Biology majors and Engineering Biology minors from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Berhampur. I completed my one-year master’s thesis at the Vienna BioCentre, as part of a collaborative project between two labs, connecting the findings of an evolutionarily conserved enzyme from two model systems. I joined the Leidel group with a curiosity to learn more about the role of RNA modifications in maintaining cellular homeostasis and the mechanisms behind.

Besides, my favorite activities include outdoor sports like running, hiking, walking in nature, and my hobbies are cooking, crafting, and dancing.
