I completed my master’s degree in biotechnology and my PhD degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Strasbourg, France. During my PhD, I characterized cis-regulatory RNA elements that modulate start codon recognition on eukaryotic mRNAs and on viral RNAs. I joined the Leidel group as a postdoc in September 2023. Here, I focus my research on the cellular quality control pathways associated with translation defects using genetic screens in yeast.
Outside the lab, I enjoy playing video games and going to metal concerts and festivals.
